Writing
I don’t distinguish between copywriting, essay writing, or technical writing. I give them all the same amount of attention and detail, so there is nothing to justify modifying the price.
Copywriting
Writing copy is the term used when writing marketing, publicity, or other advertisement work. Whether you need copy for a newsletter, a magazine, a pamphlet, or a flyer, I can describe your product quickly and interestingly. Keeping people’s attention is difficult–my words will synergize with your design to make sure people pay attention.
Essay Writing
Essays are a specialty of mine, and something I enjoy doing quite a bit. That said, they’re also time-consuming and the requirements differ depending on the field–save yourself the time and trouble and hire me to get the job done. From blogs to printed publication, my essays are well-researched and perfectly formatted.
Research time will be included in the estimate for billing, but if you can provide research you have already done, that will reduce the estimated time required for a project.
Technical Writing
Technical writing primarily encompasses how-to work, and generally includes the writing of manuals, guides, and workbooks. I can include screenshots and custom typesetting, and if you have a template for your business then I am happy to format the work to match your standards.
If the topic is one with which I am already familiar, technical writing can be completed very quickly. If additional research is needed, that time will be included in the quote.
Pricing
Straight writing is billed at an hourly rate of $100. If I need to research the process or subject of the writing, that time will be included in the estimate. This amount is just an estimate, though, and if the project will take a very short amount of time, I will charge less. If the project is going to take more time than originally anticipated, I will contact you before increasing the cost.
