Read the Dave Ramsey post first (I like him, but I know he's not everyone's cup of tea, and it is common sense, you're right. He is also a gifted motivational speaker - it sounds like maybe you haven't heard him speak, which may be why you are lost on why he is so beloved..?). My something to add re: this post is that, unless I'm the one misquoting, I believe the Good Book says the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. I think those "the love of" words get left off a lot, but are necessary for the quote to be correct. 1 Tim 6:10. Nice blog you've got here.
