I can't really express how influential your work has been on me, or the extent of the role it played in my upbringing. Walter Slovotsky is perhaps my favourite character ever, and I have a list of things he has said that stuck with me over the years. His words (by virtue of you writing them, but you once wrote that your characters have a tendency to get away from you and go where they will, so I ascribe them to him) have really helped me through life.
